Cubbington Action Group held a Public Meeting and brief AGM on Wed 5 June at Cubbington village hall, Broadway. Advice and information was available on how to respond to the HS2 Environmental Impact Consultation by July 11th. There were displays and maps on the predicted impact, including noise in the area, emphasising the disruption and devastation to ancient woodland, the Leam valley and residents in Cubbington parish and beyond. For more information on the HS2 route see – www.hs2.org.uk
At the meeting everyone was urged to complete Consultation Responses to ensure that our protests are noted. Despite all the Group’s efforts in meeting HS2 Ltd to suggest mitigation measures, none have been implemented and the latest HS2 proposals are considered to be totally unsatisfactory. HS2 will be of no benefit to our area.
