The Parliamentary Select Committee on the Hybrid Bill for HS2 will be visiting our area next Tuesday 7th October, in the afternoon. They are the group of MPs who are hearing the 1900+ petitions that were deposited in May, including petitions from the local Parish councils, the Action Groups and several individuals.
The current plan is that they will spend an hour here, with Weston Hall Farm as their last stop to allow them to ‘view’ South Cubbington Wood. We hope to persuade them to visit the pear tree and see the present unspoilt view over the Leam valley.
