On the evening of Tuesday 12th January 2016, Theresa Saul, Chairman of Cubbington Parish Council, will be accepting the trophy for the England’s Tree of the year contest on behalf of the community of Cubbington. The trophy has been won by our veteran pear tree and will be presented by Chris Hickman of the Woodland Trust.
This short ceremony will take place immediately prior to the start of the monthly parish council meeting at 7.30pm in the annex room of Cubbington village hall.
All are invited, and it will not be expected for those attending the presentation to stay on for the parish council meeting, but anyone who wishes to remain will be more than welcome to do so.
