30 brave souls and 2 dogs came on the walk today, despite the cold north east wind and cloudy skies. In the wood, most of the anemones have been washed out, except in sheltered places: the bluebells looked lovely though, even in the gloom, the primroses are still blooming and so, surprisingly after the rain, hail and wind this week, is the pear tree. There are more leaves now, so the blossom doesn’t show up so well on photos. It was very muddy, both on the footpaths and in the wood.

Who or what is living in our pear tree?
